Re: g180w out to 2l?

Hey nut, Im doing something similar to you and from the sounds of things a bit further down the track than you are at the moment. Have had a fair bit of contact with people in the game so can answer or offer a few little tid-bits from the conversations ive had with an engine builder, a mate that bui...

Im not fussed  Brett, if your chasing abit of economy AND power it might be time to turf the Wolf3d for something abit newer. Most new aftermarket ECU's are able to run an O2 sensor and as a result closed loop [+++++economy]. Haltech E6k ive got to run my DOHC has it, and i know MegaSquirts [r...

Managed to get it out, with of all things, a pair of scissors. Wedged em in the hole and turned, came out fine. Used a little allen-headed plug and it seems to be perfect.

So general consensus is the third sesnsor is pretty much pointless and i should be able to tap and block it with a bolt. Anyone know the pitch/thread size?

This has the two-pin one like the injector plug for the ecu, and 2 x gemini style ones.

I doubt one would be to turn the thermo fan on as the computer should be able to do it with the input from the middle sensor

Poida, it will spend alot of time above 6000rpm - i drive my cars hard [within the confines of the law ofcourse :D ] and this car will be drag raced/motorkhana'd/circuited etc. The extractors on it are a home-made looking job, looks very...based off SOHC specs for want of a better description. I had...

Thanks elky. Im guessing one on the left is temp sender, one in the middle is ECU sender and the third one is the one i have no fucking idea. If no one can come up with WHY i need it there, just going to re-tap it and put a plug in there.

Conversion started, few quick Q's

Started dropping the DOHC in during the week, so far so good - engine is sitting on its mounts, havent tried bolting the gbox crossmember up yet but it seems to have lined up spot on etc etc. Going well. Two questions. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b155/isuzupiazza/DSC00031.jpg Notice three sens...

PM elky, he has VRS sets.

Failing that, tappet cover is easily makable. Buy a sheet of cork gasket maker and some permatex.

One thing youll learn Eli is this - once you step into a limo-equipped car, youll scratch your head and wonder how you ever swung a single spinner. I went from the Gemini to the 200sx [from 45rwkw to 180rwkw] and man, it took all of 10seconds to get used to it and be able to swing the coont 5 or 6 w...

Exhaust size

Just a quick question about what size exhausts people are running.

I was going to make up at 2.5" mandrel exhaust for mine, but the extractor collector is 2.25" - tossing up wether its worth modifying for a bigger one.

Ps - it will be revved hard. Real hard.

Also, any idea on the difference between blacktop and silvertop ITB? Theres a set of blacktops for sale in bris but at 430 they are abit steep, would be cheaper for me to get them from kiwi land and ship em over.

Had a feeling they were 20V throttles, mind posting a picture of the back [where it mounts to manifold] and what size the butterflys are? I SHOULDNT be doing it to mine....but man its too tempting. Im with Peter, use the Gemini 5spd on the Piazza bellhousing, that way you can use a good clutch. All ...

What are your quad throttles off? If i can find a set cheap enough...

You might find the SOHC crank pulley fits if the piazza one gives you clearance issues. Ditto remote oil filter mount kit off EBAY if you cant get a 117 item.
