Re: Lowkey's G200W
Yeah the advice I got from the exhaust guy was pretty much the same. 4:2:1 probably 1 5/8" primaries around 19 inches long (will measure a cast iron one when I get the chance out of interest) and "long" 26 to 29inch secondaries probably 2". There is no doubt about a GW I want to ...

Re: Lowkey's G200W
Good pick, it is a Gemini. The reduction starter is a custom from the Castlemaine guys ( a bit more than 200 bucks though). I do have a genuine Gemini twin cam starter but wanted more clearance. As you said being able to "wind" you way out of trouble is useful with a good starter, I would ...

Lowkey's G200W
Been a long time coming, finally have the engine in the car so though I should start sharing with the guy's that have helped. Slow start but sorted the starter motor so I could get a custom set of pipes made. The high torque starter with the straight up and down arrangement has really opened up the ...

Looking at getting a set while they are still around.
The name I got when contacting them for a postage quote was Darren.

G200W - 117 fuel injectors and fuel rails
Does any one want the fuel injectors and the fuel lines from this G200W inlet manifold.
Fairly sure it came out of a 117.
The manifold is being stripped to be used in making a twin carb set up.

Engine for sale on eBay - what is it out of?
G'day
Found a "isuzu(Gemini) twin cam engine" for sale on eBay.
It has an interesting exhaust manifold and what appears to be standard twin solex carbs.
Anyone know what car this came out of?

Re: g180w out to 2l?
I will chat to a couple of camshaft suppliers and see what I can find out. Did the Guru ever talk about compression ratios? I spoke to a guy that was reported to have built GW engines for the Rally geminis and he had suggested they will easily run 11 to 1. I believe he got that though careful replac...

Re: g180w out to 2l?
Now I am really curious. That L1 spec is significantly " bigger" than the one I found and it is noted as a race cam. This would be a spec I would not expect to see in a street engine but ISU069's comments got me thinking. I measured the cams I have on hand from a G200W out of an injected 1...

Here is the L1 profile from the cosworth that I think matches the performance description. I/E Advertised Duration Nett Lift Lobe centres 308/295 Duration, .402"/.334" Lift. L1 / BD3 profiles 308 295 0.402 0.334 104 108 ISU069 Let us know if you think this is on the right track from what y...

Re: g180w out to 2l?
I have been trying to research the L1 as I like the sound of the 230hp package.
The BDA cosworth twin cam has an L1 listed and it's spec is around what I would expect to need for that horsepower.
Will dig up the spec and post it.

Re: Distributors
good points.no pun intended. I guess my interest in staying with the points and condensor distributor was aimed at being able to change springs and weight to modify advance curves as the engine needed but that is a little way off for me. The car already has a GZ engine in it with a Electronic distru...

I hope I am not going across old ground but my search came up short. I am looking to set up a distributor on a G200W with either points and condenser(yes I am old school but I can fix this stuff) or a simple electronic ignition arrangement. I am setting the engine up with twin carbs and would like t...

Re: Sidedraught fitment?
Thanks for that. Didn't want to cut it up if it was going to be useful to fellow twin cam lovers.
I have been looking for an alternative for a while but they are hard to find. Take the tip on the tapered runners. Any chance you would now how long the G161W manifolds are face to face?

Re: Sidedraught fitment?
I am looking at fabricating a manifold to fit 45mm dellortos to a G200W in a Gemini. I have a complete 117 fuel injection manifold that i dont need. Would it be poor form to cut that up?

kinda weird as I was following this from a guy on the ozgemini forum for months and though it had gone cold. I placed the order about the same time as your post then placed the note up when I was sure it was legit, should have checked the other section. sorry bout that.
