Fs weber manifolds

hey guys, i have a local bloke who has started to make copies of my sidedraft manifolds to suit the DOHC motor, he made a mould of mine and has started to do make replica's, if you want a set they will be $280 pr plus post, pics soon

this is a lot cheaper than buying from japan, they come with studs for the webers and will need a tidy of the runners before fitting, you will need to then do your own linkages or buy them from japan, or you could use weber style throttle bodies for a EFI setup

cheers

Are they copies of the "GTR-Replica" copies? (AKA 117-Replicas).
With tapered bores?

dunno, could be i have had these for ages, i thought they were aftermarket ones, as they are 2 piece, and have a tapered bore

I can't find my "quality" photos....

But from my v8-killing G200W Florian prior to sale....

And a pic from the old twincam site (viewtopic=163)....

... which I think are the same type.

They are EXCELLENT! The best I know of.
A one-off batch was made by a talented Isuzu enthusiast in NSW. He always used tapered ports.
AFAIK they are still highly sought.

They were based on the 117 manifolds ((early) GTR inlets were part of the head) but extended 10mm for better Weber clearance to the cam cover; and angle dropped to 12 (or 10?) degrees - the limit for Webers.

With thanks to ImageShack.us yet again.

PS - $280 a set is a good price. I think they were $270 or $290 originally. So much for inflation eh? Or maybe the relatively high cost was quality, or Design Registration. (LOL)

Any updates for the pics? And what kind of time frame are we looking at to get them.
Thanks.

We'll have to set the infamous IZU069 onto them then!!!

We need to keep a tab on what goes on in this small world of twincams. It's too easy to lose good connections then lose a supply link.

When you say replicas, you mean the ones similar to, but not the batch of ~45 (pairs) that were made in the 1990s?

They are a copy of the ones borrowed from elky.

Thanks.
Now I have to reboot my memory banks! (Were Elky's from that batch???)
I know the original batch remakes had tapered ports which apparently is unusual...

BTW - those Elky had IMO are friggin' good!
As to others I've seen...
