G180W From Chev LUV Into Gem

I have picked up another twin cam motor, this one is a G180W in a Chevy LUV ute.....
Can anyone tell me if the extractors on the motor in the LUV ute will have half a chance of fitting on the motor once inside a Gem engine bay?
Cheers
Todd.

Probably not. It may have the 117 exhaust, oil filter, and sump.
(The 117 is based on the Florian. The Florian is a LUV sedan.)
You need the Gemini (non-winged) sump, the fwd-down filter, and the exhaust may hit the Gem engine mounts or something...
I can swap the oil filter with you.
And I'm picking up a G200W with Gem extractors this weekend - I just posted a FS "EOI" herein.

It has the forward down facing oil filter housing on it and a set of custom/aftermarket extractors....not sure on the sump, didnt look "winged"
It has different engine mounts to the G200W Ive got,the 180 in the LUV has the mounts more forward of the centre of the block.
Im hoping I could use the extractors off the LUV in the Gem....if the firewall will allow it.Until I have the motor inside a Gem bay I cant test fit them.
If not I have a custom set of extractors to suit G***W in a LUV for sale

Sounds like the Gem engined LUV is more like the Gem than the Florian.
The Gem G***W extractors didn't fit my Florian because of its behind-crossmember steering linkage.
I don't think they fitted my Wasp (Bellett ute) else I probably would not have sold them, but I can't recall why. (Steering linkages are frontside of the crossmember. Belletts like Gems are rack&pinion.)
My vehicles have engine mounts up the front. I forget now the differences between the centerish mounted Piazza, Gems & 117s.
How much are you selling the extractors for?
I'm keen of 4:2:1 with a longish 2:1 section of around 660mm (26").

Was the twin cam motor a standard option in any of the LUV's?
Had a quick look on Luvtruck.com but didnt see anything to say it was.
Once I know for sure the exhaust fits or not Ill put em up for sale....price? no idea....depends on demand.
Ideally Ill be able to use them on my Gem as the exhaust is the only thing I never got with my G200W.
Let ya's know

No - never on the LUVs. Though a few have been fitted with them.

Alright motor is in and wired up with its Delco ecu from the Camira.
Go to put the oil filter on and it hits the swaybar before even screwing on,cant even get close to the angle needed to get it on as the bars there....anyone else had this problem?
Are there smaller, equivelent oil filters that are shorter in height to the Z56B?
Also the bottom radiator hose, normal Gem one wont work...any ideas? I have an AU one on it now though it sits about 2-3mm off the fan belt.
Cheers

Maybe you need the upright filter assembly as NOT used in Gems & Piazzas?

LOL all sorted....
Ended up with a tiny filter off a Mazda 121 maybe? Fits perfect, the smaller size Im told should be fine, creating a tad higher oil pressure if anything.
Anyone know if the 180W's cams are the same as the 200W's?
Ill post some pics up over next few days of the conversion.
Cheers
Todd.
