Re: fs twin weber manifolds side draughts originals
I doubt that they will be "original", but if they are like Elky's, they'll be better anyhow.
And despite Elky suggesting ours were different in Fs weber manifolds, I'm fairly sure that are the same.... I have yet to see anything similar.
Mine were from a batch designed and commissioned by a former NSW Isuzu affectionado & expert.
Based on original manifolds for the Mikuni or whatever carbs, as I recall they were extended ~10mm to better clear the Weber tops; angle reduced from ~12° to ~10° (the maximum for Weber); and ports were tapered.
They originally sold for $270 a pair (1996).
There is no manifold as good as that NSW batch AFAIAAware. Many that I've seen are not only much longer (too long IMO), but look like they were chiseled and welded in some rural shed.
Anyone considering getting manifolds should jump in quick. I regret selling mine, and when I get financial again I'll probably grab these.... (I couldn't be bothered wiring up the Delco for my interim G200W transplant whilst the G161U is out for maintenance.)
And just a friendly warning - I rejoined the employed 2 weeks ago after several years break.
At $270 over 15 years ago they were worth getting.
As to this asking price of $180 posted....
(Terra - I hope to PM you soon, but not over there LOL! But I miss the Tezzas and others...)

Re: fs twin weber manifolds side draughts originals
Interesting - they may be originals after all; the one that the NSW copies were based on.

Re: fs twin weber manifolds side draughts originals
they are deffinately not originals, i had these made by a mate of mine. original pics here http://www.ozgemini.com/forums/non-tech ... ht=twincam
Re: fs twin weber manifolds side draughts originals
Thanks... I vaguely remember that site.
They appear very close to the "GTR-replicas" that were cast a decade or 2 back. I was searching for some pics (I'm certain Elky & I posted some comparisons) but failed. AFAIK they are still regarded as the best manifold - short & tapered.
I guess someone will have to change this thread's title.

Re: fs twin weber manifolds side draughts originals
Still available? hmmmm......... gotta hate unfinished topics...
Re: fs twin weber manifolds side draughts originals
Go Delco. I am.
Why?
'Cos I bluddy sold my manifolds! (And now that Webers are half oldskool prices...)
Sorry - we both seem to be involved in topics that died.
Let's see what this resurrects.
BTW - which engine do you have?
PS - should contact elky if he doesn't reply...
